Tips To Make Small Business Events Great-Part 2
Welcome back! Our custom pool mats are a hot seller, primarily due to their popularity at corporate events. We love it when businesses use brains and creativity to make their gatherings fun and memorable. If you’re in charge of planning the next event for your small business, read on for a few more tips to make the end result amazing.
- How are you gonna pay for all of this? Most events are paid for through tickets, internal marketing budgets, sponsorship, or some combination of the three. When you develop your budget, consider how much you can utilize from any or all of these sources. If you need or want more, why not consider crowdfunding?
- You’ll need to get the word out by marketing effectively. Develop a marketing plan, tell people why they should bother to show up and what the draw is.
- When it comes to promoting events, social media is your best friend. Develop a unique hashtag for use on Twitter, schedule a Google hangout and answer questions prior to the event, set up a Facebook page to keep attendees in the know.
- Unleash your inner Scorsese and create a low budget promotional video. There are plenty of royalty-free pieces of music to use, and most smartphones have a video camera that makes things look great. After putting it all together, post it on YouTube, the second largest search engine on the planet, for maximum exposure.
- To make things faster and easier for guests, forget old school registration. By offering online registration, it’s not only easier for attendees, but you can get a better idea of the numbers of people attending and adjust your budget accordingly.
